TNET is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager (L3) to lead backend and frontend teams, ensuring technical execution aligns with business strategy and engineering excellence. The role is based in Tbilisi (Nutsubidze 129a) with working hours from Monday to Friday, 10:00 – 19:00. As an Engineering Manager, you will lead teams to improve delivery efficiency and software quality across both backend and frontend systems, while shaping the technical direction and engineering culture. Your impact will include leading high-performing teams, driving technical strategy and architecture, and improving developer productivity and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for engineering KPIs, including system reliability, delivery predictability, and quality metrics. Key responsibilities include technical leadership through the definition of engineering strategies, technology selection, and the establishment of coding standards. You will conduct code reviews, provide mentorship, and manage technical debt while ensuring system scalability and security. In terms of team management, you will recruit and develop talent, set performance standards, and foster a collaborative, feedback-driven culture. You will also own delivery planning, collaborating with product, QA, and design teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality software while balancing operational stability. Operational excellence involves leading incident response, establishing monitoring best practices, and improving operational maturity and documentation. Requirements include 5+ years of experience in web development or engineering, strong experience in Agile environments, and hands-on experience with CI/CD. Senior-level backend expertise is required, alongside solid working knowledge of frontend development. Experience in leading engineers and improving delivery workflows is a strong advantage. Technical skills required: Backend: Advanced PHP, Laravel (2+ years), OOP, SOLID, MySQL, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and Redis (ElasticSearch is a plus). Frontend: JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, React.js, and Next.js (required), with Tailwind CSS and Figma workflow experience (Vue or Angular is a plus). A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is optional, but a strong understanding of SDLC is required.
